Navigating the sea of concrete islands amidst Austin's Greenbelt and Town Lake, I ultimately chose the East Side neighborhood of Cherrywood for the artistic nature of its residents hoping to immerse myself in a culture of creativity as I prepare for my round-the-world journey in 2015.
